Few countries pack so much variety into such a small geographical area as Slovenia. Despite an area of only 20.200 square meters, Slovenia has experienced significant historical events and has known a rich culture and art.It boats a remarkable regional diversity of the contact of four European relief zones: Apls, Dinaric karst region, the Mediterranean and the Pannonian Basin. Slovenia is rich in waters ( rivers, lakes, sea ), forests and mountains. The highest mountain is Triglav 2864 m.

Slovenian language differs greatly from other Slavic languages, Even Croats and Serbs do not understand Slovenien. Slovenia in 2019 had 2.050.120 inhabitants, 90% of them speak Slovene, the remaining population spek Croatien, Serbien, Italian and Hungarien.60% of the population is of Roman Catholic faith, there are some Evangelicals and the members of the Orthodox and Muslim religion.

Slovenia has always been a home to the vine. The collection of wines is rich and their numerous prizes speak of their quality.
Slovene cooking is just varied as the landscape. Old national dishes have rich tradition. In Slovenia have around 40 culinary districts, which apart from having very diffrent eating habits also have very different dishes.

Slovenia is a major transportation crossroads of Central Europe to the Mediterranean and east. Slovenia´s road network is made of diagonally linked highways from Austria to Italy from germany ( through Austria ) to Croatia. Air transport unfolds from three airports Airport Joze Pucnik Ljubljana, Airport Edvard Rusijan Maribor and Portoroz Airport.

Ljubljana is capital city of Slovenia. Green dragon is a simbol of city Ljubljana. The dragon lives on the castle and the dragon figures displayed on the most prominent Ljubljana bridge - Dragon bridge - are certainly aamong most popular sculptures in the city. We, who lives in Ljubljana city see our dragon as the protector of Ljubljana.

Ljubljana is a city of sparkling creativity, numbers international festivals, cultural and social events. Ljubljan is very green city. It not only has numerous parks and tree lined promenades, there are beautiful forests on the castle hill and Roznik.
